Mobile Grooming with a Mission: Why Giving Back to Our Community Means Everything to Us
Building a business has always been about more than just managing daily grooming routes and keeping local pets clean. As a woman-owned small business rooted in the Bay Area, we believe that a business only truly thrives when its surrounding community does. Giving back is not just a side project for us, it is the heart of our mission.
Rescue shelters work tirelessly every single day, often with limited resources and an overwhelming number of animals waiting for a second chance. For many of these dogs and cats, the stress of shelter life combined with matted fur or neglected coats can make them feel uncomfortable and look less adoptable. That is where we knew our team could step in and make a tangible difference.
Recently, our team took a break from our regular customer schedules to head over to the East County Shelter in Dublin, CA to volunteer our services for the shelter animals.
We brought 10 of our professional groomers and 5 of our fully equipped, custom mobile salons directly to the shelter grounds. Our goal was simple: provide these deserving shelter pets with the dignity, comfort, and care they deserve, entirely free of charge.
Our team worked hand-in-hand with shelter staff to bathe, de-shed, trim, and tidy up as many animals as possible. Beyond just aesthetics, a good grooming session relieves physical discomfort, eases anxiety, and helps a pet's true personality shine through. By the time they stepped out of our mobile units, every dog and cat left smelling fresh, looking dapper, and showing off a newfound confidence that will help them catch the eye of potential adopters.
Seeing the immediate transformation in these animals reminded all of us why community involvement matters so deeply. Small businesses have a unique power to mobilize talent and resources right where they are needed most. For us, loving these shelter pets and supporting the dedicated staff at East County Shelter was one of the most rewarding experiences our team has ever shared.
Expanding Our Care Across the East Bay
This volunteer day in Dublin was an extra special milestone for us as we prepare to grow our footprint. Starting this September, Boops N' Bubbles is officially expanding our mobile grooming services to six new East Bay cities: Piedmont, Emeryville, Berkeley, Albany, El Cerrito, and Alameda.
As we grow into these new neighborhoods, our commitment to supporting local shelters and giving back to the pet community will grow right alongside us. Whether we are helping a rescue animal take their first step toward a forever home or bringing stress-free grooming right to your front door, our core promise remains unchanged: gentle, professional, and compassionate care for every pet we touch.
