Boops N’ Bubbles Mobile Dog Grooming

Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: 5/9/2025

It is understood and agreed that the Terms and Conditions outlined here can change at any time, without notice, and will overwrite any and all prior versions.

Preparation Prior to the Appointment

Do not feed your dog within an hour or so prior to the groom. If they take medication for pain, please give them a little bit of food before the appointment. We will not be held liable for any issues caused by stress including bloat/torsion/gastric dilatation and volvulus.

Arrival Time

There is an arrival window of 1 hour for the appointment. For example, if your appointment is at 9am, our estimated arrival time is anytime between 9am and 10am. You must be available during the entire one hour arrival window. As a mobile service, our schedule is subject to interruptions and delays due to unexpected traffic conditions, weather, and working with live animals...etc. We agree to contact you if we will be running behind the 1 hour window. The appointment will generally take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours.

During the Appointment

Our van door will be locked during the grooming session. Please do not walk up to the van, look into the van window, knock on the door, or attempt to open the door while grooming is in progress. If you need to contact our groomer during the session, please message us. We will not be liable for any accidents and injuries as a result of your interruption.

You must be accessible at the phone number we have on file for you during the grooming appointment. We may need to communicate with you during the grooming process and we will also notify you at the same number when your dog is done.

If Boops N’ Bubbles determines there is a medical emergency requiring veterinary attention and you are not reachable, you agree that Boops N’ Bubbles has the authorization to seek medical treatment from the nearest licensed veterinarian. All veterinary costs and expenses will be the responsibility of the animal's owner.

Post Appointment

If you will not be home when we are done with the appointment, or you are not available (i.e. on a conference call), please give us instructions prior so we can easily and safely return your dog. Please note once we leave the appointment, we will not return to make any adjustments to the groom. If you are not available for us to return your dog when we are done with the appointment and you did not give us any prior instructions, you will be charged a Wait Fee after 15 minutes from the time of notification that the appointment is done.

Photos

We may take photos or videos of your dog during the appointment. The photos, videos and the name of your dog may be used for our website and marketing purposes. If you do not consent to this, please let us know.

Pricing and Payment

We reserve the right to change prices at any time.

We only accept credit card payment.

Payment is due immediately upon completion of service. There is a late payment fee of $50 for any outstanding payment 24 hours after the appointment. No further services will be provided to the client until payment has been made.

Vaccinations

All dogs must be current on their rabies vaccination and provide documentation of such. All puppies must be at least 12 weeks old and current on their puppy series vaccines with valid documentation. If vaccination documentation is not provided prior to the groom, we will not groom the dog and the full grooming fee will apply.

We will not groom your dog within 48 hours after they've had any vaccinations. This is because your dog may be sore at the injection site, or they may not feel good after the vaccination. If we show up and your dog can not be groomed due to having recently being vaccinated, the full grooming fee will apply.

Reschedule/Cancellation 48 hour Policy

Rescheduling and cancellations often leave an empty gap in the schedule that could have otherwise been used by another customer, we ask that any rescheduling or cancellations be made at least 48 hours in advance or a fee will apply. The fee is required to be paid before another appointment may be scheduled.

No Show

If you are not home for your appointment, this is considered a “no call, no show” and the “No Show” fee will apply and is required to be paid before another appointment may be scheduled. This fee also applies when:

● If a multiple dog household is scheduled and you decide you do not want one of the dogs groomed once we have already arrived.

● If nobody is home when we arrive or we can not reach you, we will wait no more than 15 minutes and make two attempts to contact you.

● If meeting at a specified location for the appointment, and you are not there, we will wait no more than 15 minutes and make two attempts to contact you.

● If we are unable to groom your dog because it is extremely aggressive, unhealthy/emaciated, suffering from anything contagious, infested with any type of pest or parasite, severely anxious or panicking, and attempting to groom your dog would jeopardize its health and safety.

● If you did not provide proof of vaccination records.

● If you use the Key On File service, and we can not retrieve the dog upon arrival.

Our need for rescheduling

We may need to reschedule your appointment due to emergencies, truck maintenance, equipment failure, groomer calling out sick, etc. Every effort will be made to contact clients in advance to reschedule.

Latch Key Service

For first-time appointments, you must be present for an initial consultation. For future visits, you may authorize our groomer to access your home to retrieve and return your dog using our Latch Key Service. Your permission for entry is solely for grooming services and you understand that we assume no additional liability for property access. You agree to provide written home access instructions, notify us in advance if you will not be home, and ensure your dog is secured in an accessible, confined area. If the groomer is unable to access the dog at the time of service, a No Show Fee will apply.

Fleas/Ticks

We recommend your dog to be on flea and tick prevention. We will not groom a dog with flea and tick infestations. Please reschedule until the infestation is cleared (note we have a 48 hour reschedule policy). If a flea or tick is found on your pet, we will either return the pet if the infestation is severe (full grooming fee applies), or administer a flea and tick shampoo (additional charge) to eradicate the fleas in order to maintain salon sanitation.

Flea and tick shampoo DOES NOT prevent fleas from jumping back onto the pet. Any such shampoo treatments are also not guaranteed to be one hundred (100%) effective as the shampoo is NOT a preventative method. We will also not be held responsible for your dog’s reactions from usage of said products.

Dangerous or Aggressive behavior

You warrant your dog has no propensity to injure people, and has not caused injuries to groomers in the past. We will do our best to make your dog feel comfortable through the grooming process, but we understand often dogs feel anxious and scared despite our best efforts. In the event that your dog is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, we reserve the right to refuse services, cease our grooming services, or cancel services at any time before, during, or after grooming; with the client charged the full grooming fee.

Sedated Pets

We do not work on sedated pets as there is a risk of side effects from the sedation that we are not medically trained to handle. If you sedate your pet for its appointment and decline to inform us, you understand that we will not be held liable for any repercussions related to the sedation. If we believe your pet has been sedated, we will refuse services or stop services and the full grooming fee will apply.

Matted Coats

We practice humanity before vanity and will not de-matt a heavily matted dog. The severity of the matting and whether shaving is necessary is at the determination of our professional groomers. If you do not consent to shaving your dog, the full grooming fee applies.

There can be a variety of problems with matting and shaving. These problems may include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Damage and tear of the skin due to the tightness of the matting.
  • Restriction of movement due to the tightness of the matting.
  • Brief behavioral changes due to the dramatically difference in feeling before and after the shave, emotional reactions from the owner.
  • Itchiness, skin redness, bruising, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions by itching, biting, licking after the shave.
  • Hematomas and swelling due to mats restricting blood circulation to the skin.
  • Wounds, fleas, ticks, fox tails hidden under matting.
  • Risks of nicks, cuts and/or abrasions due to the tightness of hair to the skin, moles, warts or skin folds trapped in the mats.
  • Moisture trapped near the skin due to the matting can cause bacteria or skin irritations that exist PRIOR to the grooming process.
  • Possible loss of hair growth and/or coat re-growth in different color/texture, different directions (i.e. cowlicks).
  • Hyper pigmentation - a darkening of the skin where the coat has not grown back.
  • Sunburn (we recommend sunscreen after a shave down).
  • Loss of guard coat, especially in double-coated breeds.
  • Hotspots after shaving.

If our groomer determines shaving is necessary, you acknowledge that you agree to shaving the dog and any risk presented. We are not responsible for any complications resulting from matting or the grooming process required to address it, including any after-effects that may occur.

Seniors or dogs with health issues

The grooming procedures can be stressful, especially for a senior pet or a pet with health issues. Health issues may include, but are not limited to, seizures, heart problems, and spinal conditions. Occasionally, the stress of getting groomed can trigger a hidden medical  problem, or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming.  Senior pets and pets with health issues also have a greater chance of injury during grooming. These pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort in ways that minimize the stress. We will make reasonable efforts to keep your pet safe and limit handling them in a way that may exacerbate any medical conditions. However, we will not be liable for accidents or injuries that happen to an elderly pet or pet with health conditions. In the best interest of your pet, we request your permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment should it become necessary. All medical expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the animal's owner.

Accidents/injuries

There is always a risk of accidents when handling live animals. Although we use extreme caution and care in all situations, grooming equipment is extremely sharp and possible accidents can occur, including (but not limited to): cuts, nicks, scratches, or accidentally cutting into the quick of the nails. In most cases, this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around. Your pet’s safety and comfort is our number one priority. In the event an accident does occur, you will be notified immediately.

If Boops N’ Bubbles determines your pet has sustained an injury requiring veterinary attention, and you are not on-site or reachable, you agree that Boops N’ Bubbles has the authorization to seek medical treatment from the nearest licensed veterinarian.

If you suspect any injuries caused by the grooming process, please notify us within 24 hours. If your dog requires medical attention due to the injury, you must notify us and seek vet service within 48 hours after the groom. If the vet determines that the injury was caused solely by the groom, and that the medical treatment was required, please provide us with a vet’s written report.

Satisfaction

Your satisfaction is important to us. At the end of your appointment, please examine the groom carefully. If you are unhappy for any reason, and would like something adjusted, we will be happy to make any reasonable adjustments then. We will not be able to return to make any adjustments post the appointment.
